I am a writer first and foremost. Understanding the power of words and the needs and desires of the audience of any piece-- whether it's a blog post, a short video script, or a simple email--are at the crux of my work.

Branding

As the first marketing employee at Founders Brewing Co., I developed the brand story and identity as they grew at an incredible clip. Important decisions were made along the way.

Since then, I've worked as a brand consultant for startup breweries, arts collectives, coworking spaces, and more.

Digital & Mobile

I ran Founders Brewing Co.'s corporate website and took it through three major redesigns, including a gold-medal award winning redesign in November 2014. I also launched an industry-first beer locator mobile app with 30,000 users.

As a consultant, I've led the redesign of a Chicago realtor's website and built the site of an irrigation equipment supplier's Vietnamese arm from scratch.

PR

I'm adept at brainstorming, creating, and executing earned media campaigns and communications plans.

I've worked on projects ranging from revamping an internal employee ambassador program to ghostwriting industry articles for a market research firm.

I also led the successful announcement of Founders' 30% investment partnership with Madrid-based brewery Mahou San Miguel.

I love helping organizations with their social media strategy. I led the Founders Brewing Co. social media team, where I created, managed, and grew the company’s online presence from almost nothing to an industry leader. I created a custom system to track social media success. Plus, I consulted with customers looking to improve their social media efforts.
